The Arab Parliament granted, on Sunday, the international medal in the name of the Arab people, the highest distinction given to international leaders, to the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, for his support for the Palestinian cause, as reported the WAFA news agency.
The President of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Assoumi, clarified that the medal echoes the consideration that the Arab people have for the historic positions of South Africa in favour of the Palestinian people, hailing the unprecedented action taken by Pretoria in filing a complaint against the Israeli occupation before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
