The African Football Confederation (CAF) has decided to halt matches at 30 and 75 minutes for three minutes due to high temperatures in Egypt.
With humidity reaching 40 and 60%, temperature degrees will range between 35 and 38 degrees. The CAF clarified that such conditions will hinder the player’s performance and affect their health. The new regulations will halt matches for no more than 3 minutes. Therefore, allowing the player to drink water and take a breath.
