Tunisia-Launch of new rescue program for benefit of SMEs in difficulty

The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training today revealed the launch, in collaboration with the French Development Agency (AFD) and BTS Bank, of a new rescue program for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). ) in difficulties for an amount of 26.5 million euros.

A platform was furthermore launched to permit the 4,500 SMEs in difficulty created between 2017 and 2022 to enlist for this new program from April 16 to May 15 on this platform.

This program will run until June 2025 and involves all stages linked to the support and financing of 700 SMEs in difficulty among the 4,500 SMEs in difficulty.

The new program also provides for the rescheduling of loans for SMEs in difficulty with BTS Bank. Loans capped at 50 thousand dinars will be given to these SMEs with an interest rate of 5%, a grace period of 12 months and liquidity of 40% of the total amount of the loan granted.
