China’s National Health Commission (NHC) announced on Thursday that the country has vaccinated over 1 billion people against the coronavirus so far.
In a daily statement on COVID-19, the agency explained that over 2.16 billion doses of a coronavirus jab have been administered so far.
The Asian country has, so far, approved six coronavirus shots, while 19 jabs are undergoing clinical trials.
