CIA given a deadline to name Jamal Khashoggi killers

US intelligence agencies will be given a month to make a legal statement on whether the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, was responsible for the murder of the Saudi dissident and Washington Post columnist, Jamal Khashoggi.

Democrat representative Tom Malinowski confirmed that US intelligence reports hold Muhammad bin Salman responsible for the murder of Khashoggi and said they are requesting the director of national intelligence for a definite resolution in this regard.

In a closed-door briefing in December 2018, the CIA director, Gina Haspel, told senators that the agency was convinced the murder had been ordered by the crown prince (colloquially known by his initials MBS).
