Erdogan calls for verification of Israel’s possession of nuclear weapons

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the issue of nuclear weapons in “Israel” must be examined by the International Atomic Energy Agency in order to control the nuclear weapons owned by the occupying entity, stressing that this issue cannot be ignored and threatens the security and future of all countries in the region.

In his speech at the Arab and Islamic summit in Riyadh today, Saturday, Erdogan added that the factor that makes Israel act with disregard is impunity and that it does not have to pay compensation for the crimes it perpetrated.

Erdogan continued: “Words cannot describe what is occurring in Gaza and the brutal targeting of hospitals, places of worship and schools,” adding: “We saw mothers hugging their deceased children and fathers search for their family members among the rubble.”

He added that “Israel is attempting to take revenge for the events of October 7 by killing innocent people, children and women.”

Erdogan declared the dispatch of 10 planes of humanitarian and medical aid so far, calling for the creation of a fund under the oversight of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the reconstruction of Gaza, pledging to do “our best to revive and build Gaza.”

The Turkish president emphasised that “it is not possible to talk about attempts at normalization in the region independently of the Palestinian question and without finding a solution to it”, clarifying that “the fundamental problem lies in the rights of the Palestinians and in the creation of their state on the 1967 borders by establishing a sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital. »

He said that “Western countries have not even demanded a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip,” emphasising that “anyone who remains silent about injustice is a full-fledged accomplice.”
