France-CNews: Two Tunisian journalists leave the voice of racism and xenophobia, when will Sonia Mabrouk?

CNews is the French channel from which comes the voice of racism and xenophobia which infuses French society after the National Rally (RN) of Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella does the rest. It was from this channel that the catastrophic rumours surrounding the France-Tunisia match originated. It is this channel which spreads the vile and awful rumour about bedbugs allegedly introduced into France by migrants and refugees. A rumour spread by Pascal Praud, who would have done better to continue to delight us with his skills as a sports journalist on TF1. This channel is so practical – in the bad sense of the word – that it whispers in the ear of the president of the right-wing parliamentary group – Les Républicains –, Olivier Marleix. Tunisian journalists Amani Oueslati and Achouak Hannachi declared Stop, they’ve had enough, they’re leaving the ship…

They reported their departure. The extremely unequal treatment of news in the Middle East, following the attack perpetrated by Hamas in Israel on October 7, 2023, is undoubtedly the straw that broke the camel’s back. The stance of Tunisian journalists had become morally and ethically untenable. They drew the consequences.

But beyond this chain, an exclusive executive has taken up the cause of Israel, without nuance and without the least consideration for the objective elements of this conflict. The climate in France is unbearable and there is no longer any room for complaint, deep reflection, or dissenting voices. How will Amani Oueslati and Achouak Hannachi fare in such a dire situation? Nobody knows. What is certain is that they made a first salutary gesture, the one dictated to them by their conscience and their dignity as women.

What is odd is that this channel is part of the Canal+ group, controlled by Vincent Bolloré, a formidable businessman whom Africans know extremely well since it is on our continent that he made a large part of his immense fortune. African leaders will have to have the courage to question him about this lethal poison that he is spreading in France…

In the meantime, all eyes are on another CNews star, Tunisian reporter Sonia Mabrouk. According to the latest news, she still continues to conduct her famous interviews, very popular with French politicians. Sonia is even considered by many of her colleagues as the best in her class(for example Léa Salamé stated this in her show on France 2). But is this glory worth compromises and compromises with the horrors that Eric Zemmour’s channel broadcasts? We ask him the question…
