IL-76 military aircraft reportedly crashes in Russia, 74 killed

A Russian Aerospace Forces’ Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft crashed in the border region between Russia and Ukraine, Belgorod, resulting in the killing of 65 Ukrainian captured military personnel, along with six members of the aircraft crew and three accompanying individuals, local media reported on Wednesday, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“On January 24 of this year, at about 11:00 Moscow time, an Il-76 plane crashed in the Belgorod region while performing a scheduled flight,” the ministry added.
