Iran reports first case of new COVID strain

Iran’s Health Minister Saeed Namaki announced on Tuesday that one person in the country has been diagnosed with the new COVID-19 strain, which was first detected in the United Kingdom in December.

“Unfortunately, we discovered the first case of the mutated British COVID-19 from a dear compatriot who had returned from England,” Namaki told reporters.
