The number of people killed by the coronavirus outbreak in Italy has surged by 25% in the last 24 hours. Authorities confirmed 250 more deaths today bringing the country’s total up to 1,266. It is the largest increase in absolute terms since the start of the outbreak, the Civil Protection Agency said today.
