Libya: After 10-year hiatus, Japanese Embassy resumes activities in Tripoli

The Libyan National Unity Government reported that the Japanese Embassy decided to resume its work in Tripoli, on a limited basis, beginning January 15, after work in its offices stopped in 2014.

The same source indicated that the Japanese embassy confirmed that it aims to develop diplomatic cooperation with Libya, while visa issuance procedures for Libyan citizens will be completed at its country’s embassies in Tunisia, Egypt, and Istanbul.
