Ministry of Agriculture denies marketing of milk containing carcinogenic materials

Mohamed Chaâbouni, deputy director of health control of food products of animal origin at the Ministry of Agriculture, denied news according to which Malaysian condensed milk marketed in Tunisia has carcinogenic materials.

We recollect that the dean of veterinarians, Ahmed Rajab, launched, this Thursday, January 25, 2024, a cry of panic involving condensed milk imported from Malaysia. Speaking on Mosaïque FM, Rajab clarified that it is indeed an adulterated product containing carcinogenic substances. This product is encountered in several regions and many Tunisian markets.

The dean expressed that the state is responsible for the protection of the citizens under Law No. 24 relating to veterinary health control on imports and exports. He mentioned that Chapter 6 of the same law stipulates that control is carried out through three stages, which are the control of documents, identity, and components of the product. “
