Spokesperson for the Tunis Court of First Instance, Mohamed Zitouna officially denied rumours concerning the opening of a new inquiry into cases of conspiracy against state security involving people, including foreign parties. These allegations, propagated by certain media and lawyers, have been refuted.
He likewise denied rumours that 14 conspiracy cases were being investigated, saying they were unfounded.
Mohamed Zitouna urged the media and the public to avoid the spread of rumours and to confirm information with official sources before disseminating it.
