Palestinian journalists have started a solidarity campaign as their colleague Moath Amarneh, a photojournalist, was critically wounded by a metallic bullet in the eye fired by an Israeli soldier on Friday.
Moath Amarneh lost his eye after being shot by an Israeli rubber-coated bullet at demonstrators in a village near Hebron in the occupied West Bank on Friday.
The incident occurred near the town of Surif in Hebron, where dozens of Palestinians were protesting against the confiscation of land for the construction of Israeli settlements in the occupied territory.
