The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Sunday expressed appreciation for Sweden and Canada’s move to restore funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
According to the ministry, this decision is crucial in securing a vital support system for Palestine refugees, emphasizing UNRWA’s role in safeguarding the well-being, protection and basic rights of millions of refugees. The ministry went on to denounce Israel’s persistent campaign against UNRWA, including propaganda, state-sponsored attacks and incitement against UN employees.
