As part of its price observatory, Tunisie Numérique crew carries out weekly monitoring of the costs of consumer products for Tunisian households.
Prices are taken directly from the public media of a major distribution brand and exclude promotions.
The prices involve national brand products.
The evolution of prices makes it possible to characterize the effective inflation for each product.
Today, focus on “Lben” fermented milk of 45O gr, a common consumer product. We see an increase in its price:
- 03/13/2024: 1,490 TND
- 07/03/2024: 1,400 TND
This increase represents inflation of 6%, or 0.090 TND in one week.
It should be recalled that, according to the INS, the average inflation rate for the year 2023 stands at 9.3%.
