Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to carry on with diplomatic negotiations after Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s proposal on Monday.

Lavrov presented the United States proposal on reducing military risks to President Putin, perceiving it as a step forward in thawing the tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Although he said that Russia is willing to prolong the talks, Lavrov also warned “against endless conversations”.
