RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR UPDATES
- The strategic goal of the Ukrainian troops is the liberation of all occupied territories.
- Now in the east and south, Russian troops are suffering the same heavy losses in manpower and equipment as they did at Bakhmut.
- Ukrainian troops conduct offensive operations in several directions in the south, with the active support of the local resistance movement.
- The main blow of the Ukrainian Defence Forces is still to come.
SITUATION AT ZAPORIZHZHIA NUCLEARPOWERPLANT (ZNPP)
- President of Ukraine states that Russia is considering a scenario of a terrorist attack at the ZNPP. Radiation knows no borders: only the direction of the wind determines the victim.
- Since the first day of the occupation, Russian troops have been provoking a catastrophe.They mined the station and placed military equipment and ammunition there.
- The terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP proved that the Kremlin regime is not able to manage any of the seized facilities effectively and safely. Therefore, only the complete deoccupation of the ZNPP from the Russians will guarantee its security.
THE SO-CALLED “NEUTRALITY TREATY OF UKRAINE”
- During a meeting with the leaders of African countries on June 17, Putin showed them the papers, which he called the “neutrality treaty of Ukraine”. In fact, there is no “neutrality treaty” initialed by the Ukrainian side. Putin openly lied to African leaders under the TV cameras.
- The papers that Putin showed were working materials of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiation process of 2022. Negotiations in spring 2022 were unsuccessful. Ukraine rejected the veiled form of surrender promoted by Moscow.
- After the facts of the massacre in Bucha were discoveredthe negotiations lost their meaning and were discontinued.
RECOVERY CONFERENCE IN LONDON
- On June 21-22, the International Ukraine Recovery Conference was held in London.
- According to preliminary estimates, donors have already promised more than USD 60 billion in support to Ukraine.Most of these funds will be provided by the EU in a package for 4 years.
- Reconstruction is an essential component of the victory. Ukraine must not only defeat the aggressor, but also demonstrate its effectiveness in post-war reconstruction.
