The General Directorate of the National Guard reported the results of a month (from September 15 to October 15) of the battle against illegal migration and illegal border crossing operations.
During this period, Maritime Guard units foiled 9,580 attempts at illegal migration by people of different nationalities, including 3,486 Tunisians.
National Guard units also stopped 12,459 people of sub-Saharan nationalities from illegally entering Tunisia. Note that 346 smugglers were arrested during this entire period.
