Local customs in Ben Gardane province at Medenine Governorate affirmed to have arrested three individuals for smuggling 8 parrots worth around 32 thousand dinars.
Suspecting the situation, officers inspected the vehicle carrying the birds, the detainees smuggled the birds from Libya in an attempt to sell them in Tunisia.
An investigation was launched into the matter and the parrots were delivered to The General Directorate of Forests.
