The secretary-general of the health union under the UGTT, Othmane Jallouli, announced that the number of cases of coronavirus among medical and paramedical workers the public and private sectors has reached, until October 28, 2020, 3800.

In this regard, Jalouli referred to the great shortage of human resources in the health sector, calling for the acceleration of recruitment and the abandonment of prosthetic solutions represented in service contracts.

In a statement to the TAP agency, he expressed his astonishment at the non-compliance by the Ministry of Health with its commitments relating to the supply of protective equipment to agents in the sector and the lack of awareness among professionals, in particular to the question of the provision of spaces to isolate the workers in charge of Covid-19 patients.

And to stress that health professionals should be motivated to engage more in their battle against the epidemic, calling on the ministry to provide a minimum number of means of protection and places of isolation and psychological supervision and to accelerate the supply of vaccines needed for them.
