Today, on Sunday, December 10, 57 members of Tunisian families residing in the Gaza Strip, accompanied by their Palestinian spouses, arrived at Tunis-Carthage airport. They expressed their desire to temporarily leave the region due to the severe aggression against the Palestinian people, awaiting an end to hostilities.

Mounir Ben Rejiba, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, extended a warm welcome to ensure their well-being, provide essential care, and offer psychological support, especially for children, to alleviate the consequences of their recent experiences resulting from the actions of the occupying forces and the challenges of the evacuation process, as outlined in the Foreign Ministry’s press release.

“Following the President of the Republic’s directives to ensure evacuation operations under the best conditions, the central services of the ministry and our missions in Ramallah and Cairo were mobilized to oversee all logistical stages and necessary arrangements. This includes the exit from the Rafah crossing point and arrangements at Cairo airport, in coordination with the competent Egyptian authorities. Additionally, coordination has been established with Tunisian ministries and institutions to ensure the return of Tunisian families in optimal conditions and to provide all necessary facilities for their reception and care during their temporary stay in the territory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad continues to closely monitor the situation of Tunisians in Palestine,” stated the press release.
