Tunisia: Abdellatif Mekki calls for a 2 weeks general lockdown

Former Minister of Health Abdellatif Mekki called today to force a general two-week lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19 and consequently decree a targeted lockdown during which individual and collective preventive measures will be implemented.

He further called for the restructuring of the scientific committee while building on a logical and solid basis in order to enable it to carry out the fight against the pandemic.

He proposed setting up a central operating room in L’Aouina made up of the related ministries and local and regional chambers. These will be responsible for securing the proper application of preventive measures and social measures that go with it.
