Health Minister Abdeltif Mekki said Tunisia has succeeded in controlling the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, however , he called the control “temporary and frail”.
In an interview with Al Jazeera TV, he affirmed that this control can be reinforced but at the same time it can evaporate if policies of prevention, isolation and treatment of confirmed cases are not pursued.
Mekki further stressed that there is still a long way to go to reach a final conclusion on the epidemiological situation in Tunisia, contemplating that the general situation is solid on the condition that the same efforts continue to contain the pandemic.
