Tunisie-1000 Kelma w Kelma online platform for books launched

The Education Ministry started in conjunction with the Vivo energy Tunisia company, the new 100% online version of its “1000 Kelma w Kelma” programme.

“Since the commencement of the health crisis that we are experiencing at the international level, Vivo Energy Tunisia has chosen to reinvent this programme with the purpose of giving students, who are forced to be confined, with a platform to acquire a taste for reading at home, and to assist them to acquire oral and written expression skills,” reads a press release issued by the company.

In this platform www.1000Kelmawkelma.tn, students can read online books, participate in “lives” with teachers and write stories and tales.

The platform is comprised of 3 modules: An online library with over 100 books in three languages that the students can also compile them in a virtual notebook, live interactive and regular sessions made through the videoconference system by teachers trained to this end, and a tale-

writing competition on 3 themes mainly at heart of the current situation: Mutual aid and solidarity in times of crisis, hygiene and safety, and online education.

Vivo Energy has a network of 2,100 service stations in 23 countries, operating under the Shell and Engen brands, and exports lubricants to several other African countries.
