Two people passed away this Saturday, January 6, 2024, in the delegation of Sidi Makhlouf after drinking adulterated alcohol, 26 other people were poisoned.
These two deaths registered this Saturday morning are part of the 28 cases of poisoning of people who consumed manufactured alcohol.
The victims were moved to the local hospital in Sidi Makhlouf and the University Hospital of Médenine. Among the 26 poisoned, in addition, two victims were transferred to the intensive care unit, the regional health director of the State of Medenine, Samir Marzouk, told Mosaique FM.
