Tunisia-Amel Ouertani: Kais Saied has become a danger to national security

Reflecting on the statements of President of the Republic Kais Siaed at the meeting of the National Security Council which took place on January 25, 2021, Qalb Tounes MP Amel Ouertani announced yesterday that the head of the state has become “A danger to national security”.

According to the MP, the “repetitive” addresses of the Heads of State on plots and traitors no longer have any influence on Tunisians. In this sense, she estimated that Kais Saied’s remarks amounted to a call for riots, and are in total opposition with his constitutional role of shielding the unity of the State, the values of the Republic and the interests of the Tunisian people.

The MP further said Samia Abbou should not have been invited to the meeting of the National Security Council because the latter is far from a symbol of unity.
