Agents of the National Guard’s search and investigation brigade in Sousse managed to arrest a 55-year-old terrorist known as “Abou Houreira” at the highway in Sousse-Tunis.
Information obtained by the team of the research and investigation brigade of the National Guard in Sousse, indicated that the aforementioned terrorist had moved to the governorate of Sidi Bouzid in Tunis, announced a security source, specifying that he was therefore arrested in a “Louage” taxi.
After his arrest, he was transferred to the headquarters of the National Guard’s research and investigation brigade in Sousse, before being handed over to the unit specializing in the investigation of terrorist crimes in El Aouina.
The same source clarified that in 1998 the suspect had participated in the kidnapping of 17 foreign tourists of different nationalities and had requested while he was active within the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda for the release of hostages from the organization, after which he spent 21 years in prison in Yemen.
