The Interior Ministry declared this evening Friday, December 31, 2021, that its special units of the National Guard, in cooperation with the Special Forces of the National Army, have apprehended the terrorist element “Ridha Omri” nicknamed “Abu Aicha Of the Katiba of Jond Al Khilafa affiliated to the terrorist organization “DAECH”.
He was captured near Djebel Essif in the Foussana delegation and the security forces seized a “Chtayer” type firearm, a number of stores, a number of bullets and an artisanal mine.
The operation was conducted after the provision of information to the Counterterrorism Department of the National Guard that he planned to join the Katiba of Okba Ibn Nafaa affiliated with Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. Research is still in progress, in coordination with the public prosecutor of the Judicial Center for the fight against terrorism.
