Following information provided to officials and agents of the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Anti-Narcotics Sub-Directorate of the Al-Gorjani Judicial Police Directorate, concerning an individual allegedly implicated in drug trafficking of narcotic pills, a surveillance and monitoring operation on the ground confirmed that the primary suspect was anticipated to receive a substantial quantity of pills at a service station in the Qobaïa region.
Upon arrival, the second suspect, in a private car, joined the first suspect at the designated location. Henceforth, during their detention and subsequent search, law enforcement seized 1,200 tablets of the narcotic “Parkizol” and a sum of money totalling 1,500 dinars.
Further inquiry indicated that the first suspect was receiving narcotic pills from a doctor employed at one of Kef’s public hospitals. In cooperation with the Manouba and Kef prosecutor’s offices, a search of the individual’s home and office resulted in the confiscation of 3,806 narcotic tablets of various types, 42 ampoules of anaesthetic, and 5 vials of anaesthetic drugs, according to the general directorate of national security.
Following examination, the prosecution at the Manouba Court of First Instance authorized the detention of all members of the drug trafficking gang.
