Tunisia – Arrest warrants against three Tunisair agents and owner of private school

The investigating judge of the court of first instance of Tunis issued today, Friday, arrest warrants against three workers of the Tunisair airline and the owner of a private school in the governorate of Kasserine, involving the case relating to obtaining work assignments employing falsified school certificates,  official spokesperson for the Court of First Instance of Tunis Mohamed Zitouna, declared.

Zitouna confirmed that, as part of the research authorized by the General Prosecutor’s Office at the Financial Judicial Pole, agents of the Third Central Division of the National Guard in Aouina continued their suspicions about Tunisair agents concerning their assignments and receiving job promotions at Tunisair, based on false information and falsified scientific certificates, and the outcome of retaining two employees, one of whom works at Monastir International Airport, it was indicated that a third employee working at the same airport was implicated in obtaining his recruitment with a fraudulent academic certificate.

Zitouna confirmed that the alleged employee expressed he obtained this certificate from a private school in Sbeitla, Kasserine governorate, in exchange for money, which he gave to the school owner without having studied there.

At the end of the research, the public prosecutor decided to open an inquiry against the three employees of the Tunisian airline and the owner of the private school, and the investigating judge interrogated them before deciding to issue committal warrants against them.
