Tunisia-Assassination attempt: Mabrouk Korchid calls on Kais Saied to bring the case to justice [Audio]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Leader of Arraya Al Watania reconsidered the latest decralrations made by President Kais Saied on attempted assassinations. The speaker stated that many assassinations have been documented in the history of Tunisia including that of Mr Salah Ben Youssef, Mohamed Brahmi, Chokri Belaid, security and military agents.

Condemning assassination attempts against state officials and opponents, Korchid recollected that Kais Saied has information confirmed by a voice recording, according to the speech yesterday. He, therefore, called on Kais Saied and the interior ministry to take legal action and provide all the information they have to the prosecution to decide the case.

The speaker examined the old assassination attempts by various methods (bread, poisoned package) announced by Saied revealing that this information needs to be processed by justice in a transparent framework in order to secure reliability of the information. Korchid expressed his solidarity with Saied, once the information turns out to be true, otherwise, the person who communicated sensitive and unreliable information to the Head of State needs to be indicted.
