The Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT) registered a 5% rise in 2019 in terms of employment overseas, reaching 3,140 recruitments versus 2,985 in 2018.
According to demographic figures issued by the ATCT, the total number of Tunisian guest workers touched 20,227 in December 2019.
Some 734 recruitments were registered in the secondary and technical education sector, 428 in the higher education sector, 416 in the health and paramedical sector, 399 in the administration sector and 336 in the physical education sector, reported the TAP agency.On the other hand, there were only two recruitments in the oil and gas sector.
Saudi Arabia has the lion’s share in terms of hiring Tunisian guest workers (654 professionals), followed by Qatar (407), France (391), Oman (308), the United Arab Emirates (297), Canada (289) and Kuwait (201).
