Tunisia-[Audio ] The scandal of SONEDE’s exemplary behavior in terms of rationalizing water consumption

A reader from Tunisie Numerique reached the editorial staff to send his voice to SONEDE officials, regarding the insignificance of their services to a large loss of drinking water, following an underground leak that has continued for many days.

The reader reports that a few days after the operation to connect his home to the SONEDE network, he remarked that a significant water leak happened during the work, leaving large quantities of water to flow into the building. the basement, and on the road.

Considering that he must fulfil his role of “good citizen”, the reader in question ran to contact the services of SONEDE, to notify them of this deadly loss of such precious water, in these times of scarcity. He saw it absurd that such amounts of water were lost in nature, as the nation complained of water scarcity, to the point that prices had skyrocketed, in an effort by SONEDE to, supposedly, teach citizens the need to rationalize their consumption.

This reader believed that we were going to give thanks for his nationalist enthusiasm, since this leak happened upstream of his meter and consequently had no impact on his consumption. Although he must have been disillusioned when he noticed that he was the only one to be moved by this loss and that the SONEDE officials were totally unresponsive to the story, to the point that several days later, they did not, always, no team sent to fix this leak and this loss of such a precious commodity.
