Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Attorney and political activist Imed Ben Halima addressed the issue of compensation for victims of the former regime with a total amount of approximately 3,000 million dinars.
According to Ben Halima, spending this sum at the present time is hard if not impossible. “The statutory procedures linking to the founding of the compensation fund have not yet been concluded. The state has vowed to pay 10 million dinars while the rest of the amount will be obtained through Qatari and Turkish donations, ”he added.
Recollecting that the payment of this sum takes a very long time. “It is no accident that we bring up the subject of compensation for the Nahdhaouis now. Ennahdha desires to divert the attention of citizens from their central concerns such as the failure to manage the crisis on all fronts as well as the rise in the number of deaths, the decline of the epidemiological situation and the collapse of the health system. care ”he said.
Ben Halima affirmed that the Leader of the Ennahdha Rached Ghannouchi Movement is securing that the process takes as much delay as possible. Indeed, the finalization of this procedure should not be fulfilled before the next congress of the Ennahdha Movement in order not to lose the members of the party, he said, emphasising that “Rached Ghannouchi is taking the Nahdhaouis hostage”.
