Tunisia-[Audio]:Imed Ben Hlima welcomes the latest decisions taken by kais Saied

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, attorney and political activist Imed Ben Helima welcomed the decision taken by the President of the Republic on compulsory military service in public health establishments.

The epidemiological crisis has revealed the delicacy of the health infrastructure and the shortage of medical and paramedical staff, he explained, adding that the health professionals who retire each year have still not been replaced.

The idea of calling on medical and paramedical officials who have earned their diplomas during the last three years, to support the efforts of the State in the battle against the pandemic within the framework of national service, turns out to be accustomed to the situation, according to Imed Ben Halima.

The lawyer further said that the provisional division of the country into districts to better handle the health crisis was not a wrong idea, evoking that the Tunisian constitution grants the President of the Republic very restricted powers.

Despite the reasons for these decisions, these decisions appear likely to improve the situation, he said, calling for their implementation as soon as possible.
