Tunisia-[Audio]:Increased rate of infection in children: Dr Mohamed Douagi explains

The Head of the Neonatal Resuscitation Service at the Tunis Military Hospital and President of the Tunisian Pediatric Association, Mohamed Douagi asked parents to evade gatherings, events and parties given the peril of transmission of the virus to children. Concerning the rise in the rate of infection in children, the doctor revealed that the number of infections in adults has increased by 60%, which affects the number of contaminations in children.

The risk of contamination is surely lower in children, however, they can be infected with the virus, he explained.

Swimming in the sea does not present a risk of contamination, however, crowds need to be avoided, he added. The doctor additionally said that the infection rate among children last month reached approximately 15,000.
