Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the director of preventive health of Medenine, Zid El Anz declared the discovery of a new infection by the black fungus in the region, specifying that it is the 3rd infection after the two cases that have were identified last June.
He indicated that the person in question was recently admitted to the intensive care unit to receive the needed care. Zaid Anz reported that the disease most commonly affects people with severe immune deficiency.
