Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Dr Zakaria Bouguira affirmed that Tunisia is going through a catastrophic epidemiological situation.
He added that the wave is just starting, referring to the reduction of resuscitation beds in hospital units in the public and private sectors, concluding that oxygen services will be overfilled within a week.
Mr Bouguira emphasised the ineffectiveness of the measures declared by the government to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
Concerning the change of the composition of the Scientific Committee, our speaker adhered to this decision. Maintaining that the committee is, according to his him, considered the imposition of a general lockdown due to the gravity of the situation.
Mr Bouguira stated the solution is in the hands of the people, refusing the government’s policy in the fight against the pandemic. Recommending pressure to apply the zero Covid policy, that is, the imposition of general lockdown for two months until the virus is eliminated and life is restored to normal.
