7 people were arrested for cutting down more than 120 -year-old trees in -Ayn Darahim in order to turn them to Coal, National Guard spokesman Houssemeddine Jebabli said in a statement to Mosaique FM.
Security units obtained information indicating that some people in the Ain Slam from Ayn Darahim (Jandouba governorate) had violated the lockdown, Security found out that the convicts were about to shop down rare trees which according to experts provides one per cent of oxygen.
The detainees’ house was raided and more than 25 trucks loaded with trees were seized.
