Tunisia – Bac 2021: 275 cases of cheating in two days of exams

While on the first day of the baccalaureate exams on Wednesday there were 79 cases of cheating, attempted fraud and indiscipline across the nation, the phenomenon worsened during the second day.

Therefore, in two days of examinations, the number of cases of cheating reached 275. This was indicated today, Friday, June 18, 2021, by the Minister of Education Fathi Slaouti in a statement to the media.

With 79 cases of cheating during the first day and 196 cases recorded on the second day, the minister spoke of a sad report with a phenomenon that is expanding and that endangers the education system in Tunisia, turning into digital fraud, according to him.

“We are in the process of discovering entire networks that work between regions,” he said, recalling that each detected case is the subject of a complaint.

Yesterday, the Director-General of Exams, Omar Ouelbani already stated that the trend is towards cheating using advanced electronic devices, citing several examples.

Remember that the written tests for the main session of the 2021 bac competition began on June 16 and will continue till June 23. Results will be announced on July 4, 2021.

The written exams for the bac examination session will take place on July 6, 7, 8 and 9, 2021 and the results will be published on July 17, 2021.
