Cafe owners in Beja governorate have been encountering a persistent coffee shortage crisis for months, which has become a day-to-day problem for them.
In a statement to the Tunisie Numérique correspondent, they voiced their dissatisfaction with the lack of coffee, milk and sugar in the region, which weighs heavily on the sector and has compelled the closure of several cafes in the region.
The latter likewise called on the Ministry of Commerce to provide the required quantities of coffee, tea, sugar and milk, in addition to setting a unified price for all coffees, particularly after registering this morning a new increase in prices, which aroused “citizens’ concern”, according to them.
