Out of 1289 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 67 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 86 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday. They include 67 new cases of which 63 are local infections,4 are a new imported case and 19 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.The evaluation also revealed a new death, bringing the death tally to 53.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1847 from a total of 108823 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1302 recoveries, 53 deaths and 492 active cases, including 15 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
