A further 2509 people tested positive for coronavirus after 77,88 tests were performed on October 2 and 3, the Health Ministry said on Sunday. This takes total infection numbers to 22,230.
45 more COVID-19 fatalities were reported, bringing the death toll to 321 the Ministry further said.
331 patients are currently hospitalised, including 116 in intensive care and 45 on life support.
