Tunisia-COVID vaccination open day, November 21

The Health Ministry will organise on November 21 a COVID vaccination open day for people aged 18 and over, especially those who did not come for the booster, member of the Scientific Committee to Combat the Coronavirus Riyadh Daghfous stated to TAP on Friday.

He added that text invites will be sent to all those concerned to complete their vaccination scheme during this day, which will be organised in several vaccination centres whose list will be announced soon.

He added that during this day, those who missed the second dose of the vaccine will receive a booster of the same type administered the first time or a different vaccine.

Other citizens will be able to choose the type of vaccine they want, pointing out that many types of vaccines will be available, including “Johnson & Johnson” and “Pfizer” which inspire the most confidence among many citizens, he added.

Daghfous underlined that the Health Ministry will open several vaccination centres to make this day a success, especially in some delegations and interior regions where the vaccination roll-out is still low.

He called on all citizens to go massively to the vaccination centres on November 21 to achieve the collective immunity necessary to cope with the spread of the virus, protect themselves against a new wave that could occur during the winter season and allow them to get the vaccination pass that will be mandatory for access to certain spaces as of December 22, in accordance with the decree law No. 2021-1 of 22 October 2021.
