Tunisia-Defense Ministry calls on medical personnel to mobilize for national service

The Ministry of National Defense calls, in a press release all medical and paramedical personnel, including those from biomedical specialities (women and men), who have not passed the legal age of recruitment, set at 35, and who have earned their degrees during the last three years (2018-2019-2020), to mobilize, increase the national effort to fight Covid-19 and join the ranks of armed force and this by performing national service outside the units of the armed forces.

 

Those who fit the aforementioned provisions must go, from July 14, 2021, to the regional recruitment and mobilization centres or to one of its regional offices, bringing their national identity cards and a copy of the scientific certificate obtained. , in order to complete the recruitment procedures and make themselves available to the Ministry of Health for their employment to the medical health unit closest to the residence.

It should be remarked that this process will be taken into the record in the census operations and will be the subject of specific provisions regarding the length of national service, the duration of basic training and the terms of appointment.

Those concerned will further profit from the many privileges connected to the conditions of assignment in the public sector, bonuses and special premiums allocated to recruits to perform national service at the Ministry of Health in accordance with the legislation in force and in accordance with the joint decision of the Minister of National Defense, Minister of Finance and Minister of Public Health of September 29, 2010, relating to the regularization of the amount of the special bonus allotted to those affected by the national service at the Ministry of Public Health and the structures under its jurisdiction.
