Tunisia-Democratic Current condemns “rebellion” of some police unions

The Democratic Current condemned in a press release on February 1 the acts of some police unions who failed in their responsibility to bestow respect to citizens, requesting the Interior Ministry to sanction violators.

The party further denounced the state’s answer to demonstrators ‘ demands with anarchic detentions, describing it as an attempt of intimidation. It called for the young protesters to be released, particularly those who are still minors.

The party has ruled that the demonstrators ‘ demands are legitimate and that government officials and parliamentary coalition lack the will and the capability to make things better.
