Tunisia – Demonstrators protest in front of U.S embassy and call for expulsion of ambassador

Representatives of the Coordination of Joint Action for Palestine and the Tunisian Network for the Fight against Normalization assembled this Sunday morning in front of the United States Embassy, in the Lac district of Tunis, to protest against the attack of the Zionist entity against the Gaza Strip with “unparalleled violence”, with American support, and pressing an end to the aggression and the expulsion of the American ambassador to Tunisia.

Wael Nawar, a member of the Joint Action Coordination for Palestine, declared in a statement to TAP that one of the goals of this protest movement is to stop the bombings and Zionist aggression. on the Gaza Strip, and expel the American ambassador, as well as the opening of land border crossing points to deliver humanitarian aid.

He hailed Tunisia’s honourable position in the face of the savage attacks against the Palestinian people.

For his part, the head of the Tunisian League for Tolerance and member of the Tunisian Network for the Fight against Normalization, Slaheddine Masry, stated that the demands made by the demonstrators (expelling the American ambassador and stopping the aggression) are believed minimum demands, stressing that the series of sit-ins and protests took place under the slogan “Stopping the aggression is a duty”, “Expelling the ambassador is a duty”, and “the right of the martyr is a duty. »

As for the official spokesperson for the Popular Movement, Mohsen Al-Nabti, he called for the necessity , at a minimum, to summon the American ambassador to protest.
