The Ministry of the Interior declared this Wednesday, October 26, 2022, that the services of the National Brigade of Research in Crimes, organized crime and that relating to the security of the national territory managed to uncover a network specialized in the Immigration irregular to Europe, through Serbia and in the falsification of documents.
The operation was carried out, under the supervision of the public prosecutor at the judicial center to fight terrorism.
According to the inquiry, carried out thanks to an infiltration operation, it turned out that its chief cooperates with intermediaries to find people desiring to emigrate illegally. He likewise cooperates with a travel agency in Tunis and with local and foreign smugglers who ensure the entrance operation to Europe.
It is also implicated in the falsification of administrative documents, through its large network of relationships which it retributes in different sums of money.
Specific buffers for private companies and diverse documents have been seized (birth extracts, work certificates, passports, national identity cards, computers, a printer, a scanner as well as liquid).
On October 24, 2022, the suspects were brought before the judicial pole to combat terrorism which issued an arrest warrants against eight individuals and mandates to bring against accomplices on the run abroad.
