Tunisia – DNA reveal identity of three corpses washed up in Zarzis and buried without completing procedures

DNA analyzes carried out on three of the four corpses exhumed from the cemetery of foreigners in Zarzis indicated that three of the remains belong to three young men in the region who were among the 18 individuals who have been missing for weeks.

While the fourth corpse which aroused great controversy after the report by legal medicine that it belongs to a marine animal has been returned for supplementary analysis.

The judge issued burial authorizations for the three corpses and ordered to deliver them to their families.
